We were a homeschooling family and for me finding a school that would be easy for my child to transition was purely driven by people more than the facility. Dishaa was suggested by a friend who strongly vouched as her own child had been there. We took her advice and made our first visit. The place was very welcoming and had a beautiful energy. I wasn't aware much about the Montessori method but a chat with Dharini and Geeta showed us their approach was purely child-led, which worked well with our own method (unschooling and open learning) - that had been child-led learning.
Through the 7 months of being here, their questions and focus - have all revolved around the child. They have been able to work with her to bring her to be ready for Grade 1. They went with my daughter's learning levels, her speed of learning, her skills and her interest areas. And closely involved me for any course correction needed at home. They worked not only through the academics but let her build social interactions to find her own space there. She has beautifully transitioned from homeschooling to a schooling structure.
The Montessori Learning Days (days where they walk all the parents through some of the teaching materials) have been eye opening and I felt even more confident in the methodology. I am very very happy as Dishaa is true to its purpose.
